#RESTARTMB Pandemic Response System

Provincial Response Level: CAUTION (yellow)

Winnipeg Metropolitan Region: RESTRICTED (orange)

As of Monday, September 28, 2020, Manitoba's public health officials will be elevating the pandemic response system level for the WMR to Restricted (orange).

Mask will be mandatory in all indoor public spaces and all public and private gatherings will be restricted to 10 people both indoors and outdoors.

Community clubs, arenas, schools and daycares will follow previous health orders in relation to gathering sizes.

Facility, Service and Program Changes

The RM of Ritchot wants to assure you that now and always, the health and safety of our team members and the communities where we live, work and serve across Manitoba, is the top priority for us.  

We are taking steps to help reduce the risk to our residents, visitors, and employees by implementing the proposed social distancing procedures. 

The Municipality has closed all recreational facilities, which includes the Ritchot Library, all community halls, ice arenas, and recreation activities.  

The Municipality will be opening municipal playgrounds as of Friday, May 22, 2020.  As per Public Health orders, gathering sizes may not exceed 50 people and residents should respect physical distancing protocol of at least 2 meters.  If you are experiencing any of the following symptoms; Cough, Runny Nose, Sore Throat, Fever, Weakness or Headache, please stay home and contact Health Links-Info Santé at 204-788-8200 or 1-888-315-9257 (toll-free).

Playground equipment will not be sanitized, maintain proper hygiene by washing/sanitizing hands frequently and do not touch your face.

Garbage and Recycling will continue to operate as normal. Please continue to follow the schedule posted under Government/Municipal Services/Waste and Recycling.

The Ritchot Landfill will continue to operate their regular hours.  Hours of operation can be found here.
